Mean
The arithmetic average of a set of numbers.
The mean is found by adding all the values in a data set and dividing by how many values there are. It is the most common measure of central tendency.
The mean is sensitive to outliers: a few very large or very small values can pull it away from the bulk of the data, which is why the median is sometimes preferred for skewed data.
